Theological / Devotional

He that hath ears. A solemn exhortation often used by Christ to emphasize an important truth just stated (see Matt. 13:9, 43; Luke 14:35; etc.; cf. Rev. 2:7, 11). In a general sense all men have “ears” and should give heed, but Christ probably refers primarily to spiritual attentiveness by which those whose hearts are sincere may perceive His true meaning and be enlightened thereby (cf. Isa. 3:9, 10).
