Theological / Devotional

Idle. Literally, “not working,” “unprofitable,” “useless,” and thus, as here, “pernicious.” In charging Christ with casting out demons by the prince of demons (v. 24) the Pharisees had made a statement they knew was not true.

Give account. Man is responsible for the way in which he uses the power of choice.
