While they abode. [A Secret Journey Through Galilee, Matt. 17:22, 23 = Mark 9:30-32 = Luke 9:43b-45. Major comment: Mark.] Or, “while they returned,” that is, to Capernaum. Textual evidence is divided (cf. p. 146) between this and the reading “while they gathered.”

Betrayed. Or, “delivered” (see on Mark 3:19; Luke 6:16).
