Theological / Devotional

Great multitudes. As at the height of the Galilean ministry (see Luke 12:1, 14 ; 14:25; etc.). Heretofore Jesus had not labored in Peraea. The region contained a fairly large proportion of Jews, and was at this time rather densely populated. It was proper that He should minister to the needs of the people there as well as in Judea and in Galilee.
