Theological / Devotional

Was moved. Literally, “was shaken,” or “was caused to tremble.” The extreme agitation of the whole city is here graphically portrayed. Mark’s account of what Jesus did in the later afternoon and evening of this momentous day is more complete than that of the other evangelists (see on ch. 11:11).
