Theological / Devotional

Last of all. See Mark 12:6. When Israel rejected Jesus as the Messiah they rejected God’s last offer of mercy to them as a nation. Jesus here foresees no future time when the Jews as a nation are to be restored to divine favor (see Vol. IV, p. 33).

Reverence. Or, “respect.”
