Theological / Devotional

Mill. Textual evidence is divided (cf. p. 146) between mulos, “millstone,” and mulon, “millhouse.” A small hand mill turned by two women is probably referred to. One form of this mill had a handle near the upper edge of the upper stone, grasped in turn by each of the two women seated, one on either side of the stone.
