Theological / Devotional

Cut him asunder. A painful and shameful form of capital punishment in which the body was cut to pieces with a sword instead of being decapitated.

With the hypocrites. See on ch. 6:2. He has a portion with the hypocrites because he has lived and acted the part of a hypocrite.
