Theological / Devotional

Took with him. Peter, James, and John enjoyed the privilege of a more intimate association with Jesus than the other disciples. They had been with Him at the raising of Jairus’ daughter (Luke 8:51) and again on the mount of transfiguration (Matt 17:1). In this supreme hour Jesus longed for human companionship, for the sympathy and understanding of kindred spirits.
