Theological / Devotional

The porch. Gr. pulon, “gate,” or, “porch.” Here pulon possibly refers to the passageway leading from the courtyard to the street, and thus just inside the gate. Peter might have feared that he would be taken into custody himself were his identity discovered.

Another maid. The second person to identify Peter.
