Theological / Devotional

Leave there. Offering a personal gift or sacrifice was holy and important, but must yield to reconciliation. The gift may have been a sacrifice for forgiveness. Christ insists on making things right with fellow men before reconciliation with God (Matt. 6:15; 1 John 4:20). The more important obligation takes precedence. Living Christlike principles is more valuable than religious forms (Gal. 2:20; 2 Tim. 3:5).
