Perceived. Gr. epiginosko, “to know accurately,” “to recognize.” Repeatedly Jesus read men’s thoughts (Mark 12:15; Luke 6:8; 9:47; 11:17; cf. John 4:16-19 ; 8:7-9). This generally had the effect of making them furiously angry.
