Theological / Devotional

Prophesy ye not. The meaning of this verse is obscure, and many interpretations have been offered. The verse reads literally, “Prophesy ye not, they prophesy, do not prophesy concerning these things. Insults shall not turn back.” The words seem to be a protest on the part of those rebuked by Micah.
