Theological / Devotional

Quiet. Heb. shalem, “peaceful,” “intact,” or “complete.” The context here favors the meaning “intact,” or “complete,” rather than “peaceful,” or “quiet,” unless the thought be that the Assyrians are deceptively “quiet,” smug in their proud overconfidence.
