Theological / Devotional

Bakbukiah. The other song leader mentioned in ch. 11:17. The name Unni appears nowhere else in records of this time.

Over against them. The two choirs (see ch. 11:17) seem to have been arranged so as to stand facing each other as they sang.

Watches. Preferably, “services” (RSV).
