Commentary on Nehemiah 3:9

Theological / Devotional

The half part of Jerusalem. The city itself does not seem to have been so divided; however, the territory outside the wall was considered as belonging to it, as is implied by the LXX. This surrounding territory was probably divided into two portions, and a ruler was put over each one (see v. 12).
