They dealt proudly. The “proud dealing” of the Egyptians is spoken of in Exodus 18:11.

Get thee a name. That is, He became known through the signs and wonders that He wrought in Egypt (see Exodus 9:16 ; 14:17; 15:14-16; etc.).
