Commentary on Nehemiah 9:20

Theological / Devotional

Thy good spirit. The “good spirit” of God is mentioned also in Psalm 143:10, and the fact of God’s instructing and teaching men, in Psalm 32:8. Instruction by God’s Spirit is nowhere else distinctly mentioned in the Old Testament, but is implied in Numbers 11:17, 25, where God endowed the 70 elders with the Spirit of prophecy.
