Theological / Devotional

These wicked men. The people are exhorted to instant and complete separation from those in rebellion.

Touch nothing of theirs. All the goods of the rebels with their persons were anathema, devoted to destruction, therefore not to be touched (Deut. 13:17; cf. Achan, Joshua 7:1).

Consumed in all their sins. Literally, “swept away with all their transgressions.” Compare the similar experience of the Sodomites (Gen. 18:23 ; 19:15).
