Theological / Devotional

To Aaron the priest. Non-Levites were much more numerous than the Levites, nearly 30 to 1 (see chs. 2:32; 3:39). This meant that the Levites were well provided for indeed. It was therefore fitting that as the Levites received tithes from the people, they in turn should pay tithes to the priests.
