Theological / Devotional

The Kenites. These people, relatives of Jethro, were connected with the Midianites (Judges 1:16; Num. 10:29). They were also closely connected with Judah (Judges 1:16; 5:24; 1 Sam. 27:10).

Thy nest. A play on the word ken, “nest,” in relation to “Kenites.” This statement is also symbolic of reliance on human might and help (Obadiah 3).
