Theological / Devotional

Returned to his place. See v. 11. Upon arriving at his home he conceived a scheme by which the downfall of Israel might be brought about (see ch. 31:16), and returned immediately to Moab to lay his plan before the king (PP 451). He died soon after in battle (ch. 31:8).

But tik also went his way. Perhaps to Kirjath-huzoth, as in ch. 22:39.
