Theological / Devotional

My covenant of peace. Literally, “my covenant, peace” (Isa. 54:10; Eze. 34:25; 37:26; Mal. 2:5). Undoubtedly this promise of peace included divine protection for Phinehas from the avenging wrath of the kinsmen of Zimri (see v. 14). Peace comes with a proper standing with God.
