Abhorred. The man whose heart has resisted the appeals of the Spirit of God until he no longer hears the voice of guidance is spoken of as being hated by the Lord (see Ps. 5:5; Prov. 3:32; Rom. 9:13). Without that guidance he falls into the pitfalls of Satan.
