Proverbs 23:25

She that bare. The original curse of sin fell heavily upon the mother (Gen. 3:16). When sin entered, it became certain that many of the sons of men would fail to find the way of salvation and would perish. Each mother brings forth her children with this dreadful fate as a possibility. It is this common sorrow of womankind that makes keen the mother’s joy when her child chooses to walk in the way of eternal life.
