Commentary on Proverbs 28:11

Theological / Devotional

Searcheth him out. Some rich men believe that the wealth they have accumulated is in itself proof of their wisdom and cleverness; but their neglect of eternal values reveals their foolishness to the poor man who has gained understanding from God, the Source of true wisdom. The understanding poor man sees through their present prosperity to the troubles that await them (see Ps. 73:3, 17; James 5:1-6).
