Proverbs 3:19

Founded the earth. Solomon presents wisdom as the divine power of God, creating the heavens and protecting those who put their confidence in Him. Some have taken “wisdom” here to refer to the second person of the Godhead, by whom all things were created (Col. 1:16; John 1:1—3). Such an application may be made in parts of Prov. 8, but the use of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge in parallel couplets suggests that no such thought was in Solomon’s mind when he wrote this passage.
