Theological / Devotional

Performed this. That is, deliver the contribution to the saints at Jerusalem (see on v. 25).

Sealed. Gr. sphragizō, “to make sure,” “to secure.” The meaning, according to a use illustrated in the papyri, is probably that all the proper steps with regard to the contribution had been taken (see Moulton and Milligan, The Vocabulary of the Greek Testament). Elsewhere Paul speaks of his concern that the contribution be handled in a manner free from all suspicion (2 Cor. 8:14-23).
