Theological / Devotional

The God of peace. The title is especially appropriate in view of what Paul has mentioned in vs. 31, 32. The benediction of peace mentioned in the opening of the letter appears again near the close (see on ch. 1:7).

Amen. Gr. amen, here, “tally,” “faithfully” (see on Matt. 5:18).
