Servants of sin. See on v. 6; cf. on vs. 17-19.

Free from righteousness. That is, free so far as righteousness was concerned. This does not mean that they were free from the claims of righteousness, but that they were entirely devoted to sin as were the antediluvians (Genesis 6:5).
