Commentary on Song of Solomon 2:8

Theological / Devotional

The voice of my beloved! Verses 8–17 seem to be the bride’s reminiscence of a delightful rendezvous in the springtime. The whole is probably spoken while she is in the loving embrace of her husband (see v. 6).

He cometh. The bride’s quick sense of love discerns a long way off the approach of her lover as he comes to her mountain home.
