Theological / Devotional

The rest of the acts. Verses 15,16 interrupt the account of the reign of Amaziah, which is continued in v. 18. They contain the closing formula of Jehoash’s reign which had, however, already been given in 2 Kings 13:12, 13. The repetition of this formula is thought by some to be an indication of a coregency of Jeroboam II with his father Jehoash (see p. 82).
