Theological / Devotional

Heard. Or, “used to listen.”

Stedfastly beholding. Gr. atenizo (see on chs. 13:9; 23:1). Doubtless the crippled man’s faith shone out in his countenance, and Paul recognized here a man fit, by being cured, to become a sign to the people of Lystra.

He had faith. Faith was prerequisite for miraculous healing (see Matt. 9:22; Mark 9:23).
