Theological / Devotional

Understanding. Doubtless with respect to the vision mentioned in ch. 8:26, 27, which “none understood” (ch. 8:27). Daniel could not understand the relation between the 70 years’ captivity foretold by Jeremiah (Jer. 29:10) and the 2300 days (years) that were to elapse before the cleansing of the sanctuary. He had fainted away when the angel informed him that the vision was to be for “many days” (Dan. 8:26 GC 325).
