Is not he rightly named Jacob? As to the meaning of Jacob’s name see on ch. 25:26. Esau complained bitterly that Jacob had now deceived him twice. True, he, Esau, had sold his birthright to Jacob; but now, too late, he recognized his folly. Jacob’s taking advantage of him he now saw to be what it truly was — robbery.
