Theological / Devotional

The prisoners. The Hebrew of the first part of v. 4 is not clear. However, the thought is that the unjust judges of vs. 1-3 will, in the day of the Lord’s visitation, find themselves among the prisoners, crouching down with them in terror before the Judge of the universe, and that they will meet the same doom — they will be numbered among the slain.
