Commentary on Isaiah 55:12

Theological / Devotional

Ye shall go out. The accomplishment of the Lord’s will (v. 11) brings joy. Verses 12, 13 picture the people of God going out to the world on their mission to bring life and healing. They go forth as sowers, scattering everywhere the words of divine life. Nature breaking forth into happy anthems of praise here represents the joy that fills the hearts of men when they learn of God’s love and will for them.
