Commentary on Leviticus 19:4

Theological / Devotional

Turn ye not unto idols. Verse 4 points to the first and the second commandments, particularly the second. We need not bow down to idols of wood and stone to transgress this commandment. Anything honored in the place of God or preferred before Him constitutes an idol, even if it be a matter of the imagination only.
