They said unto him. It is not altogether clear whether “they” are the attendants of the nobleman (see on v. 24) protesting to him, or those who listened to the narration of the parable protesting to Jesus Himself. In the latter case this entire verse (v. 25) would be in the nature of a parenthesis.
