Theological / DevotionalHow then? Jesus now confronts the critics with an apparent paradox they cannot solve, a dilemma to which they had no more of an answer than when Jesus previously propounded a difficult question (see ch. 21:25, 27).
In spirit. That is, “by inspiration.” Mark says, “by the Holy Ghost” (ch. 12:36).
